week 3 readings

I could be wrong, but I felt as if the whole reading from Kajder this week dealt with students working with each other. I think this is great. When I was in high school and my English teacher would put us into groups, I believe this worked better for everyone, because you get to hear what other people are thinking, and then expanding everyone's opinion....a great teaching method for all ages.

week 3 educational

I am currently taking American Lit. 1. We just got done reading Love Medicine, by Louise Erdrich. I think it is an all around great book, including tons and tons of imagery. I really enjoyed her style of writing in this book, which was non-linear. If anyone has not gotten a chance to read this book, I would defiantly recommend it.

week 2 educational

This blog doesn't tell you what I learned this week, but rather asks what you may have learned. I am taking intro to linguistics and grammar this semester with Dr. White. I am asking for study tips, or anything that would be helpful to study for the exams, or how to get a fair grade. The class is very interesting, but when it comes to the test I feel like it is going to be a real doozy. If you have taken the course please share some study strategies! Thank you!

week 2 readings

When reading this weeks Kajder, Table 3.1 on page 35 was very interesting to me. When comparing Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 they were just totally different. Web 2.0, I felt, was just way more student-based, which I agree with. I defiantly believe in student-based learning, so I am glad it is heading in that direction. What do you think?

week 1 readings

I thought the whole Why Tweens and Teens Hate School reading was interesting. I personally do not believe that the new IGeneration is a good thing for education, but that is just my opinion. What do you think?

week 1 educational

So I learned in my literature class that Columbus is the one that coined the name Indians, because he believed he had found the Indies, but was only in the Bahamas. Pretty interesting huh?

Intro

Hi everyone! My name is Joe Jacob. I am a Secondary English Ed. major. I have many interests, such as classic rock music, sports, reading, and just hanging out. This blog is intended for two things. The first is for me to try and help the readers learn some more interesting things, and the second is for me to simply rant. Hope you enjoy.
